Whales a plenty...and a mermaid?

Went on several car journeys to see whales over the last few weeks. Saw humpbacks breaching and spy hopping. Saw the impressive backs of fin whales. Heard reports of killer whales in and around Trinity. You can probably google some video of their feeding activities there. Not something I wanted to witness. Which makes me a hypocritical carnivorous wimp I suppose. But I'm ok with that.

And then, along with a lot of dead capelin, I also saw  this on the shoreline. Remind you of anything?
